Literature Text

My Last Glimpse

Verse 1:
These dark hours grow cold
In my soul
My heart mourns for day
As night grows

Chorus:
Holding on to air
Screaming wordlessly
Lost in the mirror
Longing to be free
Can you hear my pain?
Can you feel my fear?
Nothing left to gain
Shedding my last tear

Verse 2:
Disenchantment
Clouds my youth
Gasping for last breaths
I’m drowning in lost truth

Bridge:
Holding on to this
Careful not to fall
Dying now to live
Accepting I have to crawl
I can see you now
My last glimpse of light
This is far from being finished. I need to add more to both verses. This was written during a very hard time in my life, one that I'm still going through actually. I've learned that turning my hard times into poetry, art, songs etc. really helps to get me through so thats exactly where this song came from.

Very emotional stuff . . . I can identify with it . . .

and very lyrical, this would make excellent song lyrics

I can almost hear the music playing behind it
